Here are some significant works that I did in the last seven
years. Nudes (nudi) are big sketches, while
canvases (tele) are oil
painted. Papers (carte), made later, are
water-colours completed with
pastels and chalks. Water-colour is alive and unpredictable: it
decides by itself what it should be, hence inspiring the viewer.
And this is the most important lesson: life is movement and
transformation. To listen, to observe, to face change and adapt to it,
making it possible for everyone to live in the present: that is our
task.
I want to live
with eyes and ears wide open
to do what I`m able to do
and be what I am
Caterina Pini was born in Milan, Italy, in 1968. In 2003 she begun
studying nude drawing in Milan (Accademia di Brera, Scuola degli
Artefici) and Paris (Ecole des Beaux Arts), where she currently lives.
At the moment she`s experimenting with the figurative arts working in
an artist`s atelier out of Paris.
Her last
collective exhibition was held in Milan in September 2007 (Arte sul
Naviglio). In autumn 2010 was held in Varese the first personal exhibition (acrylics)
"Altre voci, altre
stanze" at Duetart Gallery (18 September-16
October 2010).
